As Rangers fans find a new hero in Malik Tillman, a clip of former Ibrox star and now Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo performing a seemingly impossible nutmeg has gone viral.
The ex-Gers star moved to St Mary’s in a £10m deal earlier in the summer and the Nigerian international is already making waves on the English south coast.

Having blown away the Saints faithful with a Braga-esque solo goal against Villarreal in pre-season, Joe has once again stunned their support with his first competitive goal for the club.
In a stunning movement, the ex-Rangers star rolls the ball through the legs of the outrushing Leeds United keeper Illan Meslier before cooly slotting the ball home.
This was Southampton’s first comeback goal in what proved to be an eventual 2-2 draw between Southampton and the Elland Road club and in the aftermath the clip has gone viral.
A fans’ favourite during his time at Rangers, Joe Aribo admits the Ibrox club will always be close to his heart but the midfielder’s focus will be fully on living his Premier League dream with the Saints.
Rangers fans will keep a close eye on the 26-year-old’s progress and if Joe Aribo ever needs any backing then rest assured the Europa League Final scorer will always get it in Glasgow.
Joe Aribo nutmeg grabs headlines as Rangers fans get a new hero
Things move on quickly in football and whilst Rangers fans retain a soft spot for the ex-Charlton man the club has a new hero in Bayern loanee and USA international Malik Tillman.
The 20-year-old midfielder has settled into life at Rangers very quickly and as a result has dramatically softened the blow of Aribo leaving.
And whilst Joe Aribo is earning the plaudits for this stunning nutmeg south of the border, Rangers star Tillman is grabbing the headlines up north for his soaring ability in the air.
Scoring the decisive goal with a stunning leap in the 3-0 win over Union Saint Gilloise, the Ibrox side even had a special Tillman Challenge ahead of the club’s clash with St Johnstone.
Tillman even responded to this himself by scoring yet another imposing header to open the scoring a 4-0 rout against Callum Davidson’s side.
Whilst that Joe Aribo nutmeg was grabbing the headlines in England, Malik Tillman was setting Rangers on their way at Ibrox.
