Martyn Waghorn was the hero once again for Derby County, as they charge on deep into the FA Cup.
The 29-year-old left Rangers in August 2017, joining Ipswich Town, for just over £1 million.
However, his stock rose considerably over the next season, as he netted 16 goals and registered 11 assists for the Championship outfit.

During the summer, he subsequently left to join Derby County, for a fee five times larger than the one the Gers received.
So far, he hasn’t been able to replicate his league form – scoring just twice.

However, he has become the go-to man, in the FA Cup.
A fortnight ago, he headed in a late equaliser to send his side’s replay with Southampton to extra time.

When that couldn’t separate the teams, his spot kick in the resulting shootout, helped secure passage to the Fourth Round.

On Saturday afternoon, he was at it again.
He claimed the only goal of the game, in the 78th minute, as Derby defeated Accrington Stanley.
After a goalmouth scramble, Waghorn managed to get a firm connection on a snapshot that burst through the hands of the keeper.

Despite Jayden Bogle picking up a late red card, it was enough to secure Derby’s passage to the Fifth Round.
After a sluggish start, this ex-Ger is really starting to make his mark at his new club.
