The end of the season can’t come quick enough for Rangers fans looking to find some solace in a summer of change.
The San Francisco 49ers have secured enough shares to complete their takoever of the club with Rangers to have new owners by the end of May.
Add this to the appointment of Kevin Thelwell as sporting director, and things are finally heading in the right direction at Ibrox – off the pitch at least.
One area that is still miles behind is on the pitch, with a sub-par Rangers squad dropping points to St Mirren to fall even further behind Celtic.
Barry Ferguson blamed the players, and it is no surprise that his former teammate, Craig Moore, reckons that none of them are indispensable.

Craig Moore predicts that nobody is safe in the Rangers squad
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show on the 25th of April, Moore was asked by co-guest Andy Walker if there could be a summer clear-out:
“Everyone is for sale. Absolutely. The one where I go, I want to hang on, I want to see a little bit more and again, just because of his age and because of the rawness about him, but the quality, (Hamza) Igamane.
“The rest, fill your boots. If the right offer comes in, no problem, you can move on.
“Yeah. I think with Igamane the feeling you get about him is that there have been flashes of brilliance from him in his time.
“And maybe if you can develop him and maybe shave off some of the rough edges, Andy, there’s a bit of success on the pitch with him, but also there’s a big profit down the line potentially in Igamani.
“Because I think already there have been little nibbles from around Europe about possibly taking him on.”
Is everyone up for sale?
Moore is right, but wrong at the same time.
Everyone is for sale, this is how a proper player trading model should work.
If a good offer comes in for Hamza Igamane, it should be considered, that is the whole point about having a recruitment team and a technical director.
The next promising striker should already be identified.
Losing players like Igamane and Nicolas Raskin wouldn’t please fans, but the same mistakes of the past can’t be repeated.
Celtic have secured their position of dominance, primarily off the back of selling players like Matt O’Reily, Kieran Tierney and Jota for over £20m when it would have been easy to keep them given how important they were.
Hopefully, the next Rangers manager is able to get his message across quicker than Barry Ferguson, if the expected exodus comes to fruition.
