Reports surrounding £20m interest in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos from Serie A side Lazio have intensified after a story in the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper is claiming that the Italian club has included the Colombian striker on a three-man shortlist and has emerged as a potential £20m target for Simone Inzaghi.
The Sun names Morelos alongside Watford’s Luis Suarez and Crystal Palace’s Alexander Sorloth.

Both Suarez – at Real Zaragoza – and £9m Palace signing Sorloth – Trabzonspor – have spent the season away from their parent clubs.
The report comes after a report in Italy [ItaSportPress] claimed that the Rome club was looking at Morelos due to a lack of strength of depth in attack.
The Stadio Olimpico side’s title tilt has waned since the restart and much of that has to do with an over-reliance on Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile.
Reports linking Morelos to Lazio also come during a time when 30-year-old Immobile has been linked with extravagant £121m moves to Premier League Newcastle United [Gazzetta dello Sport].
Football agent Miki Bouraroui also caused a stir in the press when he suggested Lazio’s Serie A rivals Napoli were considering a move for Morelos and that they’d held talks about his future [CN24].
This was rubbished by the striker’s agent Michael Gorman, who branded Bouraroui a “liar” [Golombianos].

Morelos also raised Rangers fans hopes that he’d be staying when he shared images of him being “Ready” amid the club’s new digital transformation on Twitter.
So far no-one who has been linked to Morelos has tested the Gers resolve with a substantial enough bid.
