Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has sent a defiant message on Twitter as the club launch a new design of the Rangers Ready crest.
The Colombian striker has been subject to much transfer speculation as his exclusion from this year’s kit launch had fans questioning the talismanic striker’s next move.
But fans will be left in no doubts that the 29-goal forward is Ready to rock after he posted an image of himself with the phrase “Morelos is ready” beamed onto the side of Glasgow’s Armadillo.
Whilst we can’t read too much into it – much like all the transfer speculation doing the rounds – the response to the striker’s message shows how much he means to the Rangers supporters.
Only 24, the Ibrox side want to see the powerful forward lead the line for the club going into the new season as they look to wrestle back the Scottish Premiership.
Links to English Premier League sides Everton and Newcastle United have yet to materialise into anything serious, whilst a link to Napoli has been rubbished by agent Michael Gorman.
Agent Miki Bouraoui claimed that he had facilitated conversations between Morelos and Napoli [CN24] before Gorman shot those claims down in the Colombian press.
Gorman called Bouroui a “liar” before claiming he “has nothing to do with us or with Morelos” [Golombianos].
That didn’t stop Gorman sending Rangers fans into a mild panic when he posted a promotional post about Morelos’ performances in the Europa League on Twitter.
But for now, the striker’s message on the day of the Ready crest launch is enough for Rangers fans desperate to see the forward back at Ibrox next season.
