The one person who deserves credit amid all the transfer speculation surrounding Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is probably, well, Alfredo Morelos himself.
Far from be distracted from the seemingly constant barrage of press speculation, and criticism, Morelos has come on leaps and bounds in a season where people are talking about him outgunning Marco Negri.
No mean feat considering the Italian had 33 goals by the New Year for Rangers back in the late 90s.

Still the press talk, still Alfredo Morelos continues to produce the goods.
The relentless conversation and questions over Alfredo’s future have clearly irked Steven Gerrard, who cuts a frustrated figure when consistently telling the press his 22-goal asset is going nowhere.
New sporting director Ross Wilson also dodged dodgy questions about the club’s bank balance forcing player sales, reiterating that the club is under no pressure to sell the striker.
But after months of speculation, are those reportedly interested clubs, and the press, finally beginning to listen?
Reports linking Alfredo Morelos to Aston Villa have been rubbished in the last week [Daily Record].
St. Etienne also risked the ire of the entire Rangers support by attaching the term “greedy” to Rangers’ reported valuation [Le 10].

Rangers were serious when they said the striker is going nowhere unless its mega money.
And if Alfredo Morelos has been performing like this whilst the constant speculation bears a burden on his shoulders, just imagine what he’ll be like if those reports finally let up?
