Over the course of the last few months, there have been plenty of calls to give Lee Wallace an Ibrox send off.
Today against Aberdeen, the loyal left back and former captain got it. Rangers fans rose to their feet and cheered triumphantly as Wallace was introduced in the closing stages.
And just as they did inside Ibrox, Rangers fans applauded the player on Twitter.

It was a superb touch by Rangers and it is a moment and send off that Lee Wallace will surely cherish forever. With his contract up at the end of the season, it’s likely this faithful servant to the club will move on come the summer.
But there is no doubt that Rangers owe Lee Wallace a debt of gratitude. The former Hearts left-back sacrificed a lot in his career to stay with Rangers during the hardest time in the club’s history.
Wallace joined Rangers from Hearts in 2011 and went on to make over 250 appearances for the club.

And given there’s still two games to go at Ibrox this season, it might not even be the last time we see him in a Rangers kit. You never know.
