Danny Rohl has been spotted in Germany just days after Andrew Cavenagh confirmed his future at Rangers.
Cavenagh moved to publicly back Rohl following the end of a turbulent season at Ibrox, insisting that the German head coach remains part of the club’s plans going forward.
However, it has emerged that Rohl wasted no time in flying out of Glasgow the moment the campaign ended, and his movements in Germany have not gone unnoticed.
A picture has emerged of the Rangers boss attending a match on Saturday, placing him firmly in his homeland amid a summer of persistent speculation linking him with a return to German football.
How long will Danny Rohl be at Rangers?
Andrew Cavenagh has confirmed he will not be sacked ahead of the new season…
Rohl pictured at German cup final
The Rangers head coach was spotted watching the Saxony State Cup final between Erzgebirge Aue and his former club FSV Zwickau, with the latter losing 2-0.
Leipziger Volkszeitung also shared a picture of the 37-year-old sitting in the stands of Zwickau’s GGZ Arena.
The German regional daily reported that Rohl flew directly to Germany after finishing third in the Scottish Premiership with the Gers.

Rohl spent time at Zwickau at the early stages of his humble playing career and was said to have jetted out to support his former club in the cup final.
Whether he was there purely out of personal affiliation or with a professional eye on potential transfer targets, however, remains to be seen.
Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔
Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!
What it means for Rangers
Rangers have already shown a willingness to shop in the lower reaches of German football.
Ryan Naderi arrived at Ibrox from German third division club Hansa Rostock, demonstrating Rohl’s knowledge of the German football pyramid is an asset the club are prepared to exploit in the transfer market.
Meanwhile, images of the head coach watching football in Germany, surrounded by clubs linked with his services, will do little to dampen the speculation, even though Cavenagh has publicly backed him.
It is worth noting that Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen have been credited with an interest in acquiring Rohl’s services.
For now, Rangers are taking Cavenagh’s word that Rohl is their man, but the German’s movements this summer will be watched closely.
