Rangers don’t have any margin for error in the transfer window this summer both in terms of selling and buying players.
Individuals who can handle the pressure of an expectant Ibrox crowd should be the priority, not just those who look good on paper.
It is the hardest quality to assess for the recruitment department with several players already linked to Rangers.
Technical ability alone isn’t enough to be a success for Rangers with Craig Moore picking out one player who is the perfect example of the problem.

Craig Moore demands more from Nedim Bajrami at Rangers
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Moore feels that Nedim Bajrami sums up where Rangers’ recruitment has gone wrong:
“But with Bajrami, again, the price is not on the player’s head, but what you need, unfortunately, for those bigger type players that come in, there needs to be a personality, a personality that is able to handle what is required at Rangers Football Club. And that’s big, big character.
“That’s someone that wants the ball all the time. That’s somebody that wants to make things happen in a game of football for his type of position. Has Bajrami done that on a regular basis?
“No, he hasn’t. And that’s been the biggest problem.”
Can Bajrami turn things around?
Last summer, Rangers had to deal with two sagas.
That of Ianis Hagi and his contract clause as well as Todd Cantwell deciding that he no longer wanted to play for Rangers.
Both of those players had the quality that Moore speaks about; they demand the ball, make themselves available and have the confidence needed to play such a key role.
This isn’t to say that Hagi or Cantwell were or are the answer, but one thing has been clear this season: Bajrami isn’t.
