Rangers face Motherwell tomorrow at Ibrox in a match that the club really need a performance in. But whilst the players battle it out on the pitch should Gerrard and his backroom staff be looking at Chris Cadden?
The Motherwell full back is a vital part of the Steelmen’s play and with a contract expiring at the end of the season, Rangers could yet pounce.
The Motherwell man has made 16 appearances for the Lanarkhshire club and they retain hope of keeping him come August.
Gerrard will have on eye on talent
At 22, Chris Cadden has plenty more to go and could prove a steady addition to the Rangers squad. Rangers are clearly struggling for someone to challenge Tav for the right back berth.
Whilst Jon Flanagan has predominantly deputised at left back, he doesn’t look like the man to provide long term cover to James Tavernier.
Chris Cadden is a consistent part of the Motherwell team and has already made 16 appearances this season.
The Motherwell right back will get the chance to impress tomorrow, and if he does, he could yet wind up as Rangers player by the end of the season.
