Could Rangers have an eye on free-scoring USA cap Romain Gall?

One of the biggest criticisms levelled at Rangers all season concerns a lack of real cutting edge and goals from the midfield. In American international Romain Gall, Rangers would get both in abundance.
The French-born right winger had an unbelievable season in Malmo baby blue last year. His 13 goals and six assists lit up the Allsvenskan. Many of them were spectacular strikes.
In total, he ended up with 15 goals and seven assists in 28 domestic games last season. It’s a meaty return for the player and his form earned him a USA call-up and cap against Italy in November last year.

It’s also been a monumental rise for a player who only a few years ago was plying his trade in the Swedish third tier.
Given Malmo’s disappointing finish of third last season, it means they will not get the chance to make the Champion’s League this time out.
The club’s disappointing form could make it easier for Rangers to broker any deal for the player. Whilst there is absolutely no suggestion Rangers are interested, Gall is a player of international quality with answers in the final third of the pitch.

As the discussion continues over Ryan Kent’s future at Ibrox, and Gerrard continues to improve his squad, the likes of Romain Gall pose an interesting option for Rangers.

But are the club satisfied with the right-wing berth after signing Motherwell’s Jake Hastie or should we be expecting more movement in this position?
