Rangers star Eros Grezda was pictured with Hibs striker Florian Kamberi less than 24 hours after they faced off on the pitch at Easter Road.
And it instantly had me wondering, can the winger sway the striker into coming to Glasgow?
The Hibs forward looks a mightily impressive find and on his day is a technical, powerful, ruthless striker.
Rangers have toiled in that position at times – as evidence by our inability to score last night – and we’ve spoke previously about how Kamberi might solve that.
Having a friend in Grezda already at the club might also help sway him. I doubt Hibs will let him go in January or even in the Summer. He’s contracted there until 2021 and he might end up costing a pretty penny.
Still only 23, Kamberi joined Hibs on loan from Grasshoppers Zurich in January last season. After impressing in Scotland, Hibs made the deal permanent in the Summer.
He has an impressive 18 goals in 34 games in Scotland.
The connection between the two comes from their Kosovan Albanian descent, something common in Switzerland, the country Kamberi was born.
Grezda is a highly rated Albanian international and there is real hope he can go on and achieve at Ibrox.
And should the opportunity ever arise for Florian Kamberi to come to Rangers, he’ll have a friend in the tricky winger waiting for him.
