Connor Barron’s failure to travel with the Scotland under-21s squad had earlier sparked fears over a potential injury.
The Rangers midfielder played the full 90 as the young Scots lost 2-0 to Belgium on Tuesday and they now move on to taking on Kazakhstan tomorrow night.
Barron is not with them and it was reported by the Daily Record that was down to a “slight knock” and he had been withdrawn as a precaution.
With Gers set to face Kilmarnock on Rugby Park, that could have made the 22-year-old a doubt for the Premiership clash.

Barron called into Scotland squad ahead of Kilmarnock vs Rangers
However, it has now been revealed that Barron has been called into the Scotland first team squad, joining John Souttar, for the Nations League match against Portugal tomorrow.
With Celtic winger James Forrest the latest in a line of withdrawals for Steve Clarke to contend with, the Rangers man has been drafted in as a replacement.
Barron was in the previous first team squad for the last camp but with the 21s facing crucial Euros qualifiers this time, had initially been left with them but could now win his first senior cap.
With the reasons for his failure to travel now clear, it looks like he will be fit to travel to Killie provided he comes through tomorrow unscathed.
Rangers star Barron’s Scotland credentials
Barron was tipped to be a wildcard for the Euro 2024 squad while still an Aberdeen player, but just missed out.
The way he has taken to life at Ibrox, looking every inch a quality option at the very least, means it is not surprising he has now been elevated to the first team squad.
With the national team in a slight period of transition, if he can keep up his performances he may just be able to become a squad regular.
