Rangers fixture list couldn’t be more extreme with Philippe Clement having to prepare for Fraserburgh one moment and Man Utd the next.
The manager has a few issues with his squad in terms of availability, however, he was quick to dismiss talk of his side being underdogs.
Belief is everything against good teams and, despite Man Utd’s struggles, they are still a team packed with players who are capable of causing Rangers problems.

Connor Barron on Rangers trip to face Man Utd
Rangers will be much changed from the friendly fixture between the two sides in the summer, however, not having Ianis Hagi, Danilo and Mohamed Diomande is a blow.
What this does though, is present opportunities for others to make a name for themselves with Barron guaranteed to start:
“Yeah, obviously, every game is a massive game for this club and Thursday is another one, and you look forward to it,” Barron said when asked about the opportunity to play at Old Trafford.
“The team’s not picked yet, so everyone will be in training at their best so, it’s what you’ve got to do and look forward to Thursday.
“Obviously, they’re a top side and, yeah, we’re positive, we look forward to the game and we’ve got to go and do a job on Thursday and, hopefully, we can go and do it.”
What area of the park could Rangers get joy against Man Utd?
One area of the park that will be key at Old Trafford is midfield.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are fine players, however, their legs aren’t quite what they once were, and Kobbie Mainoo is having second season syndrome.
Ruben Amorim is yet to find the right blend and is still experimenting with the players at his disposal.
For Rangers, Barron and Nicolas Raskin have played together on multiple occasions in Europe and have the energy and dynamism necessary to cause Utd problems.
They might well be the “worst Man Utd team in history”, but a positive result would still be a huge boost for a squad desperate to prove that the league table does lie and that they can bring success back to Ibrox.
