Rangers star Kemar Roofe is still working hard at Auchenhowie this week, despite the winter break being brought forward.
Roofe is a key player for the Gers and has scored ten goals in 20 appearances so far this season.
However, he hasn’t featured since the 1-1 Europa League draw at Lyon on 9th December.
Rangers star grafting at Auchenhowie
The 28-year-old has missed four matches with a knock but it’s clear that he’s determined to get back onto the pitch as soon as possible.
Unlike fellow forward Alfredo Morelos, who has returned home to Colombia to play in a friendly match, Roofe has remained in Glasgow and he posted a video from the gym at the Rangers Training Centre to his Instagram story on Tuesday.
The ex-Oxford United, Leeds United and Anderlecht star appeared to be doing lower body work and looked to be working out on his own.
Roofe shows his commitment to the cause
This is impressive dedication to rehab from Roofe, a player who has had more than his fair share of injuries up to this point in his career.
The Jamaica international has missed a significant number of matches since joining the club in the summer of 2020, but when fit, he’s made some very big contributions.
If he can recover quickly from this latest issue and stay injury-free for the majority of the second half of the season, it would greatly improve Rangers’ chances of retaining the Premiership title.
