Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has earned a call-up to the latest Colombia National Team, with the national side using a unique video to announce their squad
This is newly appointed Colombia boss Carlos Queiroz’ first squad since taking over at the South American side. They obviously wanted to make a statement.
Morelos will be in the squad for their upcoming matches with Japan (22nd March) and South Korea (26th March). As part of the announcement, the Colombian FA announced it with a special video on Twitter. Watch it below.
It’s a unique take on squad announcements, but a cool one nonetheless. Colombia fans will be excited to see how former Manchester United assistant Queiroz plans to set his side up.
And similarly, Rangers fans will be eager to see how Alfredo Morelos fits into his plans.
The Colombian striker has been on red-hot form at Ibrox and recently delighted fans by signing a new contract. Rangers star Andy Halliday described it as a “statement” from the Colombian firebrand [quoted in The Daily Record].

With a Copa America on the horizon, Alfredo will be hoping to make an impression and get into the side. That’s a very good thing for Rangers.
Despite signing a new contract at the club, transfer speculation persists around the Colombian. Reports from The Daily Record suggested Eintracht Frankfurt sent a scout to watch the striker in the disappointing draw with Hibs.
