Rangers fans might’ve been over the moon when Alfredo Morelos made a statement with a new contract – but it didn’t stop Frankfurt sending a scout to watch him on Friday night [Daily Record].
Whilst it wasn’t Alfredo’s best game in a Rangers shirt, Frankfurt will still be monitoring his progress. As many others will be too.
But according to Rangers hero Andy Halliday, all this attention is irrelevant. According to the versatile midfielder, Morelos is going nowhere.

As quoted by The Daily Record, Halliday said, “I think he realises that the players and staff at Rangers have helped him improve. And if keeps improving his career will take care of itself.
“If Alfredo had intention of leaving next season, he wouldn’t have signed this new deal.

“To sign that was a statement from him.”
The striker has been on red hot form and as a result there will be plenty of sides sniffing around.
Brendan Rodgers rubbished claims the player was on Leicester’s radar, whilst Sky Sports claim there is interest from Borussia Dortmund.

But Andy believes Rangers is the best place for Morelos right now. He clearly thinks Morelos’ does too.

As for the debate raging about
who should win the Player of the Year award, Halliday thinks one star has stood out above the rest.
“Alfredo has been the outstanding player in Scotland this season,” said Halliday.
“He’s got 28 goals which is remarkable considering we’re still in March.”
