German giants Dortmund are the latest club to show an interest in signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos – according to a report.
According to Sky Sports, the Bundesliga side is one of a number prepared to fight it out with Leicester City to sign Morelos after his blistering form for the Gers over the last two seasons.

The Colombian has hit the net 28 times so far this season and is well on course to be one of the few Rangers strikers to smash the 30-goal barrier in a season.
Rangers have made it clear previously that they don’t want to lose the striker although they know the financial aspect can prove too strong.

Managing director Stewart Robertson recently insisted that the Gers value Morelos “at least the same” as former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele – who left last summer for around £20million.

Morelos has stated his preference to play in the Premier League so that could see Leicester emerge as the front-runners for his signature this summer.
At only 22, Morelos has all the attributes to play at the very highest level and a move to Germany would arguably be better for him in the long-term.

However, as it is, the Colombian is integral to Steven Gerrard’s side just now and it would be a massive blow to lose him.

If the Gers were to get money in the same region of the Dembele transfer though it would give a massive boost to Gerrard’s spending power this summer.
Losing Morelos would be a blow but with a hefty sum in the bank, it could really let Gerrard improve the side.
Before any of that happens though, someone will need to cough up a lot of money.
