A reputable West Ham United club insider has claimed that both Rangers and Celtic have expressed an interest in Scotland international Robert Snodgrass.

ExWHUemployee is a leading Hammers blogger and made the claim on the West Ham Way podcast as the 33-year-old winger eyes a move out of West London.

But if these claims are true, then both Old Firm clubs look set to be disappointed with the former Livingston wide man set to join West Brom, according to Sky Sports.

The West Ham insider confirmed that Snodgrass was “likely” to leave the Olympic Stadium and also mentioned the Baggies as he namechecked Rangers and Celtic.

“Robert Snodgrass is looking likely to leave,” said ExWHUemployee [West Ham Way: 06/01/21]

“He had interest from Rangers and Celtic but I believe that West Brom are now looking to sign him.”

The winger has enjoyed a successful career south of the border, turning out for Leeds United, Norwich City, Hull, West Ham and Aston Villa.

However, any suggestion the winger would join the ranks at Ibrox appears far-fetched with Snodgrass a renowned boyhood Celtic fan.

It’s one thing watching the Gers crush your dreams of 10IAR, it’s another being party to it.

Snodgrass isn’t the only name being linked with Rangers in the January transfer window, but Gers fans were like disappointed in an update over one player who reignited speculation on social media.
