Rangers fans have unveiled a Champions banner outside of Parkhead – and our Celtic fan counterparts haven’t exactly taken it well on Twitter.

Such as been the length of time the League Championship has been a formality this season the Ibrox fans have plenty of Hijinx planned in the run up to the crowning moment.

The latest came from a group of supporters who unfurled a Champions flag outside the home of our arch-rivals.

Celtic fans have had all kinds of comfort blankets in the last few weeks as they come to terms with the fact the only trophy that mattered over the last decade is now consigned to history.

The only number that matters in Scotland this year is 55, not 10.

Taking plenty off our rivals over the last decade – the concept of the 10 itself is literally about getting one over on Rangers supporters – the Ibrox fans are more than entitled to return the favour.

Celtic fans are particularly used to banners outside of Celtic Park this season, the club’s supporters seemingly having an affinity to them as the Gers send them and their season into meltdown.

The latest effort had plenty of them getting salty online as their support bit to the baited hook of the Rangers fans who flew the flag:

Whatever helps you sleep at night lads – cheers for coming.

This is only just getting started too; the months of knowing we’re going to canter to the title means there are plenty of celebrations yet which will ensure they know exactly who the Champions are.

The Gers are within seven points of their crowning moment with the club even capable of clinching the trophy this weekend.
