Celtic fan makes deluded title claim that will have Rangers fans in stitches

A hopeful Celtic fan provided the entertainment for Rangers fans on Clyde One Superscoreboard last night as he proclaimed that the Parkhead club could still win the league title.

Rangers are currently 18 points clear of Neil Lennon’s side with the Parkhead manager having the club’s final game in hand this season tomorrow night.

If they win that, they will be within 15 points with Rangers needing an almighty collapse in the final nine games with only 27 points to play for.

“Just in general I think we should back Lennon to the hilt,” said Celtic fan caller Mark [Clyde One SSB 16/02/21].

“Let’s see how many results we get, I don’t think it’s actually going to be finished. I think there’s a few wee pitfalls to be had.

“If we get our games in hand, I don’t see us losing too many more games to be honest, if we hit top form we’ll be skating.

“Yeah I still think that [Celtic can still win the league], I still believe that.

“Football’s a funny game, innit?”

Yes, Mark mate, it is.

And it’ll be at its hilarious best when you and those fellow Celtic supporters who are still clinging on to the dream of 10IAR wake up to the nightmare of Rangers winning 55.

Rangers have also patched up their relationship with Clyde One after over a week of disputes involving some of their punditry in the aftermath of the 1-0 win over St Johnstone.

The broadcaster themselves took to their website to announce the dispute being resolved.
