Radio Clyde claim they have settled a dispute with Rangers over comments made on one of their shows in a “constructive and positive manner”.
The radio station also claims that they “look forward to working closely with the club for the rest of the season and beyond”.
“Clyde 1 Superscoreboard wishes to address recent issues in our relationship with Rangers Football Club,” reads a Clyde statement.
“We are committed, as always, to maintaining a healthy working relationship with Rangers FC, as well as every other club in Scottish football.
“Rangers Football Club recently raised some concerns around some comments on our show. These points have been addressed in a constructive and positive manner and fully resolved.
“We look forward working closely with the club for the rest of the season and beyond.
“Our sports journalist Andrew MacLean will be attending the press conference this Wednesday ahead of Rangers European clash with Royal Antwerp on Thursday.”
The Gers withdrew co-operation with the broadcaster for comments made on the station’s Superscoreboard football show on Saturday the 6th of February.
This was revealed by popular fan media and club insider Heart & Hand who revealed that the situation related to comments made by journalist Roger Hannah [Daily Update 08/02/21].
Speculation suggests the incident concerns comments made by Hannah in which he claimed St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson was injured partly due to a challenge by Rangers star Kemar Roofe.
St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson admitted that this was not the case in a later press conference and all parties concerned will be hoping the matter is now resolved going forward.
Rangers insiders Heart & Hand had claimed the dispute would rumble on until it was effectively resolved.
