Ex-Rangers star Cedric Itten has continued his post-Ibrox revival as the BSC Young Boys earns his second international start in a row with Switzerland.
The 26-year-old left Ibrox in the summer to return to his homeland in a reported £1.5m deal and hasn’t looked back since with the striker now a regular feature at international level.

Cedric Itten might not have scored in the 3-0 win over Israel, just as he didn’t in the 5-0 victory over Belarus, but the forward appears to be emerging a first-choice striker for Switzerland.
It’s a way’s away from the timid player who lacked in confidence at Rangers, with the striker struggling to get into the Swiss set-up during his time in Glasgow.
Cedric Itten now starting for Switzerland
Signing for the club in 2020, Ced the Ted did play an important role in the 55-winning season but the striker struggled to settle in Scotland and eventually wound up on loan in Germany.
Relegation-doomed Gruether Furth would see their loan deal for Cedric Itten cut short, with the Switzerland star returning to Rangers for a brief stint before moving to BSC Young Boys.
And it’s there where the forward has been on explosive form, with Cedric Itten’s impressive goal contributions firing the Swiss Super League side to a 16th top flight title.
In total, Cedric Itten has netted 16 times back in Switzerland this season, with BSC Young Boys 18 points clear of second place Servette and coasting to the Championship.
Rangers fans might be asking what happened with the striker in Glasgow, with Itten also having an impressive scoring record at FC St Gallen before the switch to Ibrox.
Rangers reportedly paid £2.8m to sign Cedric Itten in 2020, with the striker going on to score eight goals in 49 games at the Ibrox side.
