Rangers striker Cedric Itten is firing BSC Young Boys to the Super League title as his deadly partnership with Cameroonian striker Jean-Pierre Nsame proves formidable in Switzerland.
The Ibrox star headed back to his home country in the summer following a troubled two-year spell with Rangers, which also saw him have a six month stint in Germany.

Now, the 26-year-old striker is restarting his career with a phenomenal season in the Swiss top flight which has helped new club Young Boys open up a 14 point gap at the top of the table.
Cedric Itten scored another goal for Young Boys on Sunday afternoon, the striker netting the equalising penalty in the 1-1 draw with Luzern to make it nine Super League goals for the season.
This follows on from the double the striker scored in the 5-1 dismantling of league rivals Winterthur the week before, with the Switzerland international on fine form.
However, it is his striking partner Jean-Pierre Nsame who leads the Swiss Super League scoring charts with twelve goals this season. The Cameroonian striker got the other three in that hammering of Winterthur.
Rangers fans will remember Nsame from the Europa League clashes with BSC Young Boys in 2019 with the striker playing in both the 2-1 defeat in Switzerland and the 1-1 draw at Ibrox.
Rangers were also linked with a move for Nsame in the summer of 2020.
Cedric Itten firing Young Boys to title glory
Whilst it’s good to see Cedric Itten doing well with Young Boys, Rangers fans will be scratching their heads over what happened with the 6ft2 forward in Glasgow.
Signed for a reported £2.7m in the summer of 2020, after playing an influential role in the title-winning season the striker would be farmed out to Greuther Furth at the beginning of the last campaign.
Recalled by Giovanni van Bronckhorst in January 2022, Cedric Itten was genuinely hopeless at times last season and was eventually sold for a reported £1.5m to Young Boys in the summer.
In total the striker played 49 times for Rangers, scoring eight goals, with the forward also scoring four goals in seven games for the Switzerland national team.
Meanwhile, Richard Keys has sparked a Rangers related meltdown amongst Celtic fans.
