Rangers’ new retail partners, Castore, sent a rousing message to supporters on Sunday morning ahead of the official release of the new kit range.
Ever since the club’s commercial director, James Bisgrove, announced that a landmark new kit deal had been agreed [Rangers.co.uk], there have been rumours that Castore were the brand in question.
On Sunday morning, that news was confirmed, as a message penned by the company’s co-founders, Tom and Phil Beahon, was sent to supporters via email. Some of the content is also included in a press release on the company’s website [Castore.com].
Firstly, it’s stated that partnering with Rangers is a “huge privilege and honour” and that Castore are involved “for one simple reason – to drive this club forward and help bring trophies back to Ibrox.”
The co-founders go on to guarantee that from next season onwards, Rangers will be wearing the highest quality kit in the league and that in a clean break from past deals “Rangers Football Club will benefit directly from every product” sold.
There’s a commitment to refurbishing the megastore and to satisfying the demands of the club’s worldwide fanbase.

It’s claimed that they will announce partnerships with 3-5 leading European clubs over the next 18 months but that “nobody came close to matching Rangers” in terms of their maiden deal.
Perhaps in a nod to the difficulties the Gers have had in recent years, there’s a commitment to making the partnership successful, with the 2020/21 kit designs soon to be released.
Judging by the build-up tweet posted by the club’s account on Sunday evening, that announcement is likely to come at 9am.
The days of Sports Direct and Hummel are gone and while the exact details are yet to be revealed, it’s now certain that Castore are the club’s new kit suppliers.
Now comes the all-important part – how will the designs be received?
