Some Rangers fans believe the club’s kit supplier for the 2020/21 campaign will be Castore, a new sportswear brand looking to break the dominance of established global giants.
On Saturday afternoon, Rangers issued an intriguing ‘commercial update’ [Rangers.co.uk], within which it was confirmed that the announcement of a new kit and retail partner is imminent.

In February, commercial director James Bisgrove announced that the club was looking for a new supplier and back then, many Bears said they wanted Adidas to fill the void.
The German giants have since announced a deal with Celtic, though, and some believe the Gers are going down a completely different route by choosing Castore.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
Founded in Liverpool in 2015 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, Castore recently secured £7.5 million in funding from undisclosed private investors, enabling the brand to move into professional football [Retail Gazette].
Tennis star Andy Murray wears the brand and is a shareholder in the company, while they are also set to become Cricket West Indies’ official kit partner from June 2020 [Windiescricket.com].
Bisgrove has described the new deal as ‘a significant step forward in Rangers’ recent history’, and if Castore are announced, it’ll mark their first foray into elite football.
