Rangers retailers Castore have announced plans for a new Newcastle United megastore in the city as they follow the blueprint of their Ibrox expansion.
The now Manchester-based retailers invested a reported £250k in refitting the Rangers Store at Ibrox Stadium and have opened a range of units across Glasgow and Northern Ireland.

Castore are also heavily involved in the new Rangers Store which is set to open later in the year as part of the New Edmiston House construction project.
Now, Newcastle United have announced plans to open another Toon-specific store in the Newcastle MetroCentre in a move that echoes the expansion seen in Rangers’ own retail operations.
This add to the St. James’ Park retail outlet and Castore’s own store in Newcastle city centre.
“After a successful few months trading in the new stadium store at St. James’ Park, Castore is very excited to expand our Newcastle United retail portfolio by announcing our second NUFC store, which is opening in the MetroCentre,” said Castore co-founder Tom Beahon [NUFC].
“We have been warmly welcomed by the fans and the city of Newcastle, and we’re looking forward to the latest expansion within the area.”
Castore using Rangers blueprint at Newcastle United
Castore have made no bones in the past about using their early success at Rangers as a springboard to present their ambitions to other clubs.
This has allowed the retailer to sign deals with Newcastle United – prior to their takeover by the Saudi billionaire-led PIF – and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
The retailers aren’t planning to stop there either with Castore also announcing a new deal with Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen this year.
Reports have suggested that this is one of five potential new deals they’re set to strike as they boost their footballing portfolio from three to eight.
Football is only part of what Castore do too, with Tom Beahon previously claiming the Rangers retailers have world domination in one sport firmly in their sights.
