Carlos Pena spotted in Glasgow

Carlos Pena has been spotted in Glasgow today and it’s left fans wondering if he’ll be coming back to the club.

With his loan deal at Nexaca cut short, Pena has returned to Scotland early. Pedro Caxinha spent a reported £2.2m on the player last season, but it never happened for the midfielder.

Now, it looks like he’s here to try to seize his chance under Gerrard. But can the enigmatic midfielder break back into the Rangers side?

If ever there was a player who’s Ibrox story was surrounded in intrigue, mystery and  confusion, it’s Carlos Pena.

Reportedly on 25k+ a week at Ibrox, the midfielder has eighteen months left on his contract.

What a development this could be in Pena’s story. After being frozen out and with his career seemingly heading nowhere, could he come back to Rangers and be a success?

The team is crying out for a goalscoring midfielder. Pena is just that. He’s a powerful midfielder who specialises in late runs into the box.

He’s obviously a player too. You don’t get 19 Mexico caps if you’re not. At 28, Pena should also be at the peak of his powers.

Reports have also suggested he could wind up back in Mexico.
