The signing of Ryan Kent has Rangers fans buzzing to see what he can bring to the pitch, but can he have a positive influence on lifelong teammate Sheyi Ojo too?
It’s fair to say Ojo himself has been enjoying the move up north from Merseyside.
The powerful wide man has been praising the fans [RangersTV] and also getting some soundbites out there which have riled up our rivals across the city.

The winger’s four goals and three assists in nine games is a solid return – but there have been times when the player has perhaps lacked the bite and commitment required.
Against Celtic on Sunday, he did very little to remedy that in what was our biggest domestic game of the season so far.
Coming on at half-time Ojo had a real chance to change the match and to live up to those earlier comments about Rangers being the best side in the league. He failed to deliver.
Kent himself has spoken about linking back up with Ojo and there must now be real hope that the two can rekindle that on-pitch relationship they grew up developing at Melwood.
“Yeah me and Sheyi used to do a lot of damage back in the day,” Kent told RangersTV.
“He’s a great player Sheyi, physically he’s a machine, he’s dangerous on the ball, so I think we’ll play together as we used to back in the youth team days.”

The two boys clearly get on with each other on and off the pitch and their understanding could be fundamental to what Rangers are trying to achieve this season.
If Kent’s commitment to the cause and to the badge can wash off on Ojo, it may well be central.
