Rangers fans have heaped praise on Nikola Katic after he shared footage of himself going the extra mile in the gym on Instagram despite the Gers’ season finishing at the weekend.
Katic missed the entire 2020/21 campaign with a serious knee injury suffered in July and spent much of the season in his native Croatia doing rehab work.

He returned to Glasgow in the run-up to trophy day, though, and supporters were delighted when he was snapped back on the pitch at Ibrox ahead of the final training session of the season on Friday.
The 24-year-old did individual work away from the group but looked in superb physical condition and the early signs are good in terms of his availability for 2021/22.
Following a weekend of celebrations capped by the Player of the Year awards on Monday, the vast majority of players and staff are taking a well-earned rest.
Katic isn’t easing off on his rehab, though, as was evidenced by his Instagram story on Wednesday.

The big centre-back posted a video in which he’s taking on some tough-looking resistance work in the gym at Auchenhowie, as he continues to put in the hard yards.
He’s clearly determined to get back into the best shape possible ahead of pre-season as he bids to challenge the likes of Filip Helander, Leon Balogun and Jack Simpson and eventually get back into the team alongside Connor Goldson.
The Croatian is a firm fan favourite at Ibrox and supporters are impressed by his commitment and excited for his return to action.
Here’s a selection of reactions to Katic’s gym work from Twitter:
In other news, a major Scottish Government-backed rugby crowd announcement is sure to anger Rangers fans.
