Rangers fans were questioning Michael Beale’s recruitment the other week when none of his summer acquisitons started in the forward line, an injury to Kemar Roofe, ironically, saw them all reunited against Livingston.
No sooner had the medical room at Auchenhowie emptied than it started to fill up again and the Gers boss is starting to run out of options.
With Rangers yet to hit top speed, having Kemar Roofe available would make a difference, however, his absence sees us down to the bare bones, Beale explaining the striker’s second-half absence via Rangers TV.

The list now stands at; Todd Cantwell, Nicolas Raskin, Kieran Dowell, Rabbi Matondo, Danilo, Tom Lawrence and Roofe.
In a congested fixture list, this is the last thing that Beale would want.
Rangers in Kemar Roofe injury blow
With Rangers 1-0 up at half-time, it was a surprise to see Cyriel Dessers emerge from the tunnel, stripped and ready to go.
As Beale revealed, he was far from happy with Rangers starting striker hiding an injury and a player of Kemar Roofe’s experience should know better.
“Kemar has a slight problem with his groin.
“He felt it probably midway through the first half and he probably should have asked to come off in all fairness.
“We have had that chat.”
Hopefully, it is only a minor issue given that the 30-year old played on with it.

Given his history, you would think that he would know by now if it is something that could keep him out long term.
If Roofe is out for a sustained period, it leaves just Dessers as our only central attacking option and he will have to sharpen up from his second-half display.
The 28-year old Nigeria international certainly doesn’t look like the player who was top goal scorer in a European competition for Feyenoord just a couple of seasons ago.
It looks like he is going to get the chance to prove that he can return to that form though, through necessity rather than choice.
