Scotland international and Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has offered a hilarious Rangers throwback by cracking wise about ex-Ibrox defender Bilel Mohsni.
The Tunisian international defender is still kicking a ball at 34 in Saudi Arabia but John McGinn was bringing up an incident at Motherwell in 2015 as he joked about Covid-19 vaccines.

John McGinn jokes about Bilel Mohsni in Rangers quip
The people of the United Kingdom are being encouraged to take up a booster jab ahead of the winter months as the Omicron Covid-19 variant continues to spread.
As a result, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave a televised speech on the issue on Sunday evening to encourage the public to take up the jab.
Playing on the fact the word also means punch in Scots slang, Aston Villa star John McGinn – who has been linked with a £50m move to Man United – joked “more jabs than Bilel Mohsni”.
This is in relation to an infamous incident at Fir Park in 2015 as Rangers tumbled out the Scottish Premiership Playoffs courtesy of a 6-1 aggregate humbling to Motherwell.

As the final whistle went during the clash with Stuart McCall’s Rangers side failing to reach the Scottish top flight at the first time of asking, Bilel Moshni got involved in a fight with Lee Erwin.
Snaps later showed the Tunisian defender connecting with punches on the Motherwell striker after refusing to shake Erwin’s hand, leading to the striker shoving him.

Bilel Mohsni now plying trade in Saudi Arabian second tier
When the big central defender isn’t being the butt of a John McGinn joke, he’s currently plying his trade in the Saudi Arabian second division with Al-Rawdhah.
Having played for seven clubs before joining Rangers, Bilel Mohsni went on to turn out for Angers and Paris in France and Etoile du Sahel in his homeland before returning to Scotland in a brief two-month stint with Dundee United in 2018.

The defender then had spells in Greece with Panachaiki before spending time with Grimbsy and Barnet south of the border and then heading to the Middle East.
Speaking of John McGinn, the midfielder has been an important part of Steven Gerrard’s bright start to life in the Premier League.
