As usual, Alfredo Morelos was the centre of attention after controversy in an Aberdeen vs Rangers fixture.
However, speaking on Sky Sports commentary, as quoted by the Scottish Sun, Andy Walker believes he was hard done by.

In the first half of the game, Rangers were the dominant side. They had a two goal lead to show for it at the break, mainly due to Morelos’ brace.
Shortly after the interval, though, he was dismissed after an altercation with Scott McKenna.
It wasn’t until Jermain Defoe’s stoppage time strike, that the fans could breathe easily again.

Social media was awash with debate in the aftermath of the Colombian’s dismissal, with some suggesting it was a ridiculous decision, while others felt Morelos was asking for it.
Former Celtic player turned Sky Sports commentator, Andy Walker’s had sympathy for the striker.
“I’ve got to say I think Morelos is very unlucky there”, said Walker on commentary for Sky Sports, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“I didn’t think there was any intent there. There was no aggressive action.”
“He has been stupid in these games before. But I don’t think there was a stamping motion from Morelos. The more aggressive party is McKenna.”

On Thursday afternoon, it emerged that Rangers will be appealing the decision.
However, while there was certainly no out-and-out stamp from the Gers man, it’s hard to say he was totally innocent of any wrongdoing.
The club are doing their best, but it may be an uphill battle to get this one reversed.
