Everything was going so well for Alfredo Morelos this evening.
As expected, he received a hostile reception from the home fans at Pittodrie.
Yet, during the first half, he didn’t let that have an adverse effect on his performance.

If anything, it inspired him to reach his very best level.
His first goal was a decent bit of poaching, nothing much more than that.
His second, a different story altogether. A wonderfully taken finish from the edge of the area, the type any world class forward would be proud of.
Second half a different story
Yet, it all unravelled shortly after the interval.
Once again, the 22-year-old was unable to stay out of trouble. Incredibly, for the third time this season, he was dismissed against Aberdeen.
After a tussle with Scott McKenna, Morelos undoubtedly left his leg in.

The Dons centre-back reacted immediately, kicking out at the Rangers striker’s face.
McKenna instantly received a straight red card and rightly so.
With El Buffalo still writhing around on the ground, referee Bobby Madden had some extra thinking time.
Mind eventually made up, he brandished the red card as soon as Morelos got back to his feet.

There was plenty of reaction on social media as soon as the Rangers official Twitter account posted an update.
Some Gers fans were incensed by the decision, while others pointed the finger at Morelos.
Once again, it was a situation he created for himself. Having said that, McKenna clearly committed the more serious offence and this time, the Gers top scorer may count himself a little unlucky.
Ultimately it didn’t cost his team the points tonight.
They still ran out 4-2 winners in an incredible game. You can find the Rangers News player ratings, here.
