Andrew Cavenagh and his consortium announced plans to raise £16m in new capital through a share issue at Rangers.
The Chairman wrote an open letter to the Rangers fans explaining the owners‘ plans to bring back the good times at Ibrox.
This investment means the Americans have put in £36m since buying the club in May 2025.
Andrew Cavenagh has issued a HUGE update about the club’s finances…

More investment at Rangers on the cards
Daily Record journalist Scott McDermott claims that this recent share issue is not the end of Cavenagh and his consortium’s investment in the club.
They promised that they would make Rangers the best team in Scotland again, and are not expected to stop until that happens.
He believes that would be welcome news for the Gers fans as they have seen previous regimes reluctant to splash the cash.
This has created a huge gap between the two Old Firm clubs and has seen Celtic dominate Scottish football in recent years.
McDermott told the Daily Record’s Hotline Live: “It’s clear. This latest investment shows Andrew Cavenagh and Rangers’ owners won’t stop until they’re the number one team in Scotland again. I think, for Rangers fans, it will be music to their ears.”

What are Andrew Cavenagh’s next steps likely to be?
As the share issue is effective immediately, Cavenagh and the club are expected to launch the capital raise right away.
Funds will then flow into the club’s accounts and timeline updates are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Internal audits, cost-cutting targets and headcount reductions in non-football areas could begin immediately, as there appears to be a comprehensive plan in place behind the scenes.

Cavenagh could also turn to club legends and bring them in as official ambassadors or informal advisers, giving them direct access to the executive team and dressing room.
There could also be new commercial partnerships and modest infrastructure investment, which could be scoped out in the next month.
The recruitment budget is not expected to shrink, and there will be another transfer window where decent money is shelled out in order to help Danny Rohl build the squad he needs for short and long-term success.
