Rangers fans will be scratching their heads this evening after their Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Queen’s Park.
Gers were poor and went through the motions at home to the Championship side and fell behind in the second half to Seb Drozd’s well-taken finish.
They then attempted to throw everything at it towards the end but it was too little too late, as James Tavernier saw a stoppage time penalty saved by Calum Ferrie.
Gutless Gers have now blown their biggest chance of silverware this season and set up the chance of another Celtic treble.
Fans will be asking question this evening as they look back over the performance with puzzlement.
And they’re not alone as Alan Hutton delivered his post-match thoughts.

Hutton baffled by Rangers’ performance and subs
The former Rangers right-back couldn’t believe how laidback the team were at the start of the game, not looking to be up for the fight.
Only when they fell behind did they properly start to take the game to Queen’s Park.
But decisions from the manager, including subbing left-back Ridvan Yilmaz for attacker Ianis Hagi, left him scratching his head too.
Speaking on Premier Sports, Hutton said: “A few things baffled me on today’s performance.
“First and foremost you expect everyone to be up and at it, aggressive in everything they do, move the ball quickly.
“They didn’t do that until they went 1-0 down, and they everything was quick, get the ball down, can we play fast?
“But even the substitutes. 60 minutes you take off Fernandes, Hagi and you bring on Yilmaz and Souttar. I don’t understand that, I don’t see the point in that.
“Hagi surely has got a a better opportunity to create a goal. So little things like that I don’t understand.
“It shouldn’t take going 1-0 down before you switch on and you’re at it. The last 10/15 minutes they threw everything at it but up until then not good enough.”
Bartley agrees on Clement calls
Marvin Bartley felt the same as his fellow pundit and added: “The team that started should’ve been good enough. I spoke about it at half-time – there wasn’t enough forward runs, the tempo was too slow. It was almost like it was a training game and they were going through the motions.
“We said ‘Queen’s Park will grow in confidence’ and that happened.
“Come out in the second half, the two subs at half-time as well…Bailey Rice I feel sorry for, a young man given his opportunity taken off at half-time. Didn’t understand that.
“But then ‘okay, half-time substitution, the tempo will go up’. It didn’t.
“The performance from Rangers today wasn’t good enough. It was far from good enough.
“Taking Hagi off, I just understand. You’re putting a left-back for a left winger, it makes no sense at all.
“A lot of questions need to be answered, 100 per cent.”
