Alan Brazil “hearing all sorts” about future of Steven Gerrard at Rangers

Prominent Celtic fan and talkSPORT radio host Alan Brazil has made hugely suggestive statements about Steven Gerrard’s future in his latest ramblings about Rangers.

True to form, the presenter has been milking the comments of Jurgen Klopp about Gerrard replacing him at Liverpool [Four Four Two] to get an elbow in on the Ibrox club and stir some controversy.

This time Alan Brazil is claiming that Gerrard might be gone from Ibrox next year as he isn’t getting what he wants from the Ibrox boardroom.

“The problem is, will Steven Gerrard stay until 2022 at Rangers,” babbled Brazil.

“I’m hearing all sorts, that there are problems. I think he has closed the gap on Celtic, but not sufficient enough to cause Celtic problems.

“He’s doing a good job up there, but if he gets frustrated and whatever he’s been promised he doesn’t get, he could leave.

“And if he leaves, then it won’t just be Liverpool who will look to Steven Gerrard.

“That’s the problem that Rangers could be facing in a year’s time.”

This speculative nonsense appears completed unfounded and is classic Alan Brazil.

Verging on the Football Insider level of insight with the “Ibrox sources” nonsense, Brazil’s suggestion that Gerrard isn’t being given what he wants doesn’t even make sense.

The Rangers gaffer has been suitably rewarded for helping to get the Ibrox club into Europe two seasons in a row with a bumper transfer budget.

Rangers spent £3m on Filip Helander [Rangers] and up to £7.5m on Ryan Kent [Sky Sports] amongst 11 signings in the summer.

It’s not the first time Brazil has been outspoken about Rangers in recent weeks.

The presenter claimed that everything was not rosy in the Ibrox boardroom live on talkSPORT earlier in the month.
