It appears most Rangers men on international duty will be coming back unscathed. This will be music to the manager’s ears.

The side that defeated Livingston will be a good indication of who will line up against Aberdeen.

Cyriel Dessers was on the scoresheet in that fixture and seems to be fighting for Clement’s number-one striker going forward as he continues to battle for the spot with Danilo.

Youngster Ross McCausland has proven his worth in the side. The 20-year-old has broken past the academy barrier and now can be a regular part of the first-team setup – although there are fears of a suffered injury on international break.

He should be joined in attacking phases by Tom Lawrence and Abdallah Sima. Then it should be the ever-reliable John Lundstram and Ryan Jack in behind.

The back five then pretty much picks itself, with the captain James Tavernier joined by Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Borna Barisic and Jack Butland between the sticks.

Steven Davis, Rabbi Matondo, Nicolas Raskin and John Souttar all remain sidelined through injury.

Aberdeen vs Rangers Prediction

Rangers haven’t had the best record against Aberdeen as of late. They lost the home fixture back in September 3-1, but this is now a completely different side.

Clement’s Gers side are a different beast compared to Michael Beale‘s. Aberdeen also comes off the back of a 6-0 romping from Celtic. We can only see this going one way.

Prediction: Aberdeen 1 – 4 Rangers
