Aberdeen fans unfurled a “pathetic” banner about Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ mother in their Scottish Cup quarter final with Rangers.
The hideous message was on show as Rangers drew 1-1 with Aberdeen to force a cup replay at Ibrox.
Alfredo Morelos was lucky to be on the pitch but this overstepped the mark. A section of the Aberdeen support have showed their brainless lack of class.

The message reads “Morelos tu madre es un colchon”. In English that translates as “Morelos your mother is a mattress”.
It’s a disgraceful message aimed at a 22 year old Colombian plying his trade here. What must he think of the people in the North East?
The striker has been involved in plenty of tussles with Aberdeen but he is targeted by Derek McInnes side. Not only does it show an appalling lack of footballing class, but it inspires this kind of treatment.

Alfredo Morelos plays on the edge but there is absolutely no way to justify bringing his family into this footballing rivalry. Anyone involved in this should be ashamed and if Aberdeen Football Club have any spine, they’ll come out and condemn this disgusting banner.
It’s not the first time the potential Player of the Year winner has been targeted by rival fans. Morelos revealed in
an interview with Colombian news outlet Caracol that he avoids going out in Glasgow because of the abuse he gets from Celtic fans.
