Abdallah Sima ready to go in three word Rangers post response

Abdallah Sima broke his goalscoring duck against St Mirren at the weekend and in emphatic fashion as the Rangers forward looked something like being back to his best.

The Senegal international hit his 11th goal of the season and is proving to be good value for his loan deal since signing from Brighton and is a key member of the squad.

Rarely do loan signings make such an impact but Abdallah Sima has become a firm favourite with Rangers fans with the new dad responding with a post on X.

Abdallah Sima keen to keep pushing for Rangers

With this sort of form it’s hard not to get too attached to the 22-year old, it also makes a mockery of Ryan Kent’s six goals in two seasons from the same position.

Keeping it simple, after scoring at Ibrox, the forward reacted to a post by Rangers social media team:

“Let’s keep pushing.”

An apt turn of phrase given what his partner has just been through.

Speaking to Rangers TV he seems to be enjoying his time playing in front of a packed Ibrox:

“I really enjoyed scoring goals. For me it is an honour to score here and help the team to win the game.

“I wanted to score goals for my new-born, so those goals are for her.

“I hope she will see these goals when she grows up.”

A happy footballer is usually a confident and productive one and Abdallah Sima certainly seems to have got his back with the quality of the two goals that he scored for Rangers at the weekend, a repeat against Hearts would be greatly appreciated

Not many of the summer signings can be said to have been a huge success but, alongside Jack Butland, Sima has proven what sort of return we should be expecting from a player in our front three.

It’s no wonder Clement is hoping for early talks to keep him.

Put it this way, had it not been for Abdallah Sima, Rangers wouldn’t still be in the competitions that they are in.
