Aston Villa are reportedly interested in shelling out £7.5m for Luton Town full-back James Justin.
The 21-year-old versatile right or left-back has been on fine form for Luton as they earned promotion to the Championship. He’s played 52 games in English League One, scoring three goals and laying on nine.
But if Aston Villa are willing to pay so much for the young defender, what does that say about the value of Rangers captain James Tavernier?

James Tavernier has been on truly exceptional form for Rangers this season. So much so many were surprised the player was overlooked during awards season.
The Rangers captain, Tavernier’s marauding, commanding performances from the right are talismanic to the Ibrox club. His contribution is immense, his dedication perhaps even more so.

The former Newcastle right-back has 17 goals and 20 assists for Rangers this season.
The likes of Burnley, Southampton, and Brighton have been routinely credited with an interest in the player [Daily Mail]. Given how well he has performed this season, you imagine many other sides will have an eye on Tav too.

But if James Justin is being linked with a £7.5m move, how much does that mean Rangers should value James Tavernier at?
If this is the market we’re dealing in, bidding for the 27-year-old should start at £15m at the very least.
