Philippe Clement has already set his stall out in terms of how Rangers might look next season and there are more hints that a new direction is being taken.
The Gers boss has Nils Koppen now at Ibrox to help him out with recruitment and the January acquisitions look like they could be a sign of things to come.
There have been reports of South America being a more common source of talent and there has been an indication on social media that Philippe Clement is already planning Rangers next round of business.

Clement has spoken already about what he wants to see in terms of new acquisitions:
“I know that we are not the most wealthy club in the world. We want to get transfers in that can have an impact now but also can have added value for the next couple of years on the field and selling them for bigger amounts.
“If you look at the last couple of years, this is one thing that the club has missed. They didn’t have big outgoing transfers and because of that, not getting money in to do other things.
“That is one of the targets, strange as it is for a manager to talk about that but I want to help in that way so the club can grow in every sense.”
Mauro Bousquet might not be a name that is too familiar to many fans of the Light Blues but there is a reason why the Italian was given the red carpet treatment at Ibrox over the weekend.

Only recently, Busquet has claimed that Colombian forward Angel Torres has an offer from Scotland, amongst other countries, and he works for the agency that represents the 24-year old.
With 15 goals and eight assists, the left footed right winger, has had an impressive season in Australia and is the type of player Rangers should be looking for.
Given the league he would be coming from, he wouldn’t be expensive and Australian based players have done well in Scotland in the past.
He is also exactly what we have been missing.
A player who can add balance on the right and an attacker who is a natural lefty.
Oscar Cortes looked impressive before his untimely injury and it could be that Rangers are eyeing a cut price deal for his compatriot whose contract is about to expire – if an option for another year isn’t taken up.

Bousquet was quick to deny that he was at Ibrox to specifically discuss Angel Torres moving to G51 when asked by Rangers News but confirmed that he will be happy to help should Koppen pick up the phone.
