Rangers fans are celebrating a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

The Gers enjoyed near total domination over their Old Firm rivals, with the 3-0 result certainly not flattering Rangers come the final whistle.

Ianis Hagi got Rangers off to the perfect start in the 7th minute of the match before second half goals from Robin Propper and Danilo guaranteed the points.

The result cuts the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 11 points and here’s how the Rangers players rated at Ibrox.

Rangers player ratings v Celtic (Scottish Premiership)

Liam Kelly – 7

Called into the side after Jack Butland was hospitalised with internal bleeding and made a big stop on the cusp of half-time from Reo Hatate.

Was heavily involved in the offensive side of play, routinely being asked to send the ball long to beat the Celtic press, an expectation he handled with aplomb.

Dealt with a late cross well with the score at 2-0 in a solid performance from the goalkeeper which guaranteed an Old Firm debut to remember.

Ridvan Yilmaz – 8

Turkish international left-back Ridvan Yilmaz was asked to deputise at right-back in the absence of James Tavernier and put in a massive performance.

Burst a lung to get forward throughout and was heavily involved in the final third, as evidenced by his six efforts on goal in the match.

Wanted the win, competed throughout and earned a sense of redemption after missing the decisive penalty in the Premier Sports Cup Final.

Dujon Sterling – 7

Dujon Sterling was asked to deputise at centre-back and after two big mistakes against St Mirren and Motherwell, the Ibrox utility man put in a solid display at the back.

Competed with everything Celtic threw at Rangers and won a number of important challenges, this was a focused and dependable display from the ex-Chelsea kid.

Robin Propper – 8

There were big concerns about Robin Propper heading into the Old Firm derby at Ibrox but the Dutchman put in his best performance in a Rangers jersey to date.

On a day when Rangers’ core leadership trio were missing, Robin Propper was one of the side’s most experienced players and Propper put in a big performance.

Commanding in the defence and impactful on the ball, Propper also popped up to score the team’s crucial second goal after a Nicolas Raskin header was kept out by Kasper Schmeichel.

Jefte – 8

Rangers left-back Jefte is one of the first names on the Ibrox teamsheet and sometimes it’s to forget the kid is only 20-years-old.

There were a few misplaced passes from the defender in the game but Jefte always puts in an almighty shift, drives the ball forward and competes physically.

Kept Celtic’s Player of the Year quiet and drove forward to play a crucial role in Danilo scoring Rangers’ 3rd goal of the afternoon.

Nicolas Raskin – 9

Nicolas Raskin has taken huge strides in his development this season and was once again crucial for Rangers in a big match.

The entire Rangers midfield dominated their Celtic countparts with Nicolas Raskin at the fulcrum, snapping into challenges and reading the Celtic’s attacks.

Twice the player of Calum McGregor and has the Celtic captain’s number.

Rangers fans should just enjoy Nicolas Raskin whilst he is here because the young Belgian midfielder has huge potential and is beginning to realise it at Ibrox.

Mohamed Diomande – 8

Another top Old Firm performance from Mohamed Diomande, who played with impetus and energy throughout the game.

The Ivorian uses his body so well and loves to link up with the players around, with Diomande starting to impose himself on this fixture.

Finding his feet at Rangers and alongside Nicolas Raskin is forming a formidable partnership which is starting to really command the Old Firm derby.

Nedim Bajrami – 7

Nedim Bajrami has been criticised in recent matches for a lack of contribution but there will be no such accusations levelled at the Albanian here.

In a creative display, Bajrami played a big part of finding space and breaking forward into the Celtic defence and the Albanian has a superb eye for a pass.

Might’ve scored in the second half had Hamza Igamane found him with a pass but this is more like it from Bajrami and lets hope it’s a sign of things to come.

Ianis Hagi – 9

Ianis Hagi has made a huge difference since coming back into the Rangers team and this was another massive performance from the Romanian.

Opening the scoring with a low shot after seven minutes, Hagi nutmegged Cameron Carter-Vickers and sent the Celtic goalie scrambling.

Found space all the time, was always an option for teammates and played forward throughout the match in another superb performance for the Gers.

Vaclav Cerny – 8

Vaclav Cerny is a real talent and is one of Rangers’ most important players in the final third.

Cuts inside and caused the Celtic defence huge problems throughout the match, Cerny might’ve got two goals on the day had things gone differently.

Had a deflected shot hit the bar in the first half and hit the post during a breakaway in the second following a world class Nicolas Raskin pass.

Huge player for Rangers.

Hamza Igamane – 7

Given the nod in the number nine position as asked to press the Celtic defence, the ball never quite fell for Hamza Igamane when it came to his own opportunities.

But this was a tireless and selfless display from the young Moroccan who took some nice touches and showed real composure in tight areas.

Might’ve played in Bajrami in the second half but this was an industrious display from one of the club’s brightest talents.

Substitutions:

Danilo – 7: Came off the bench for Bajrami and scored a tap in within two minutes. A lethal striker who is not scared to find the back of the net v Celtic.
