Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership visit of Hibs at a packed Ibrox.

The Gers have been given the green light to open up the entirety of the Copland Stand after a summer development for the club’s disabled supporters was delayed.

Having had the stand partially opened for the 3-0 win over Dundee, Rangers fans will now get to enjoy a full Ibrox for the Scottish Premiership clash with Hibs.

And Philippe Clement has sprung a couple of surprises as the Belgian manager looks to make it four wins on the bounce and six wins from the last seven games.

Rangers starting XI v Hibs confirmed

Jack Butland starts as expected between the sticks with the Rangers’ number one the club’s bonafide first-choice goalkeeper.

James Tavernier then continues at right-back with impressive duo John Souttar and Robin Propper retaining their places at the heart of the defence.

Brazilian left-back Jefte comes back into the side following his suspension for the Europa League win over Malmo.

In midfield, Rangers start with Connor Barron and recall Nicolas Raskin, with Tom Lawrence once again retaining the number 10 role.

The Gers then start with a front three of Vaclav Cerny, Hamza Igamane and Ross McCausland at Ibrox.

Rangers must keep touch in Scottish Premiership

Rangers manager Philippe Clement will be hoping his side can build on their recent good form and keep touch with both Aberdeen and Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Dons have won their opening six league games under Swedish manager Jimmy Thelin and ground out a 2-1 victory away to Dundee to maintain their perfect start.

Celtic then blew away managerless St Johnstone 6-0 at McDiarmid Park to top the Scottish Premiership table on goal difference.

Rangers are currently eight points behind both sides as a result and even at this early juncture of the season must overcome Hibs to keep close to the early pace-setters.

The Gers come into the game off the back of a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory away to Swedish champions Malmo in Sweden.

Hibs could also be without three key first-team players for the clash with Rangers as former Premier League striker Dwight Gayle lines up a debut at Ibrox.
