Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland has sent an Instagram message to the ice-cold Kemar Roofe via the club’s official account.

The Ibrox goalie, 30, was once again Mr Consistent for Rangers in the win over Real Betis with the club in safe hands every time Super Jack Butland dons the club’s number one jersey.

But the plaudits from Seville fall firmly on the Rangers frontline with the club’s 3-2 victory sending the Gers through top of Europa League Group C and sending a shockwave through Europe.

As the celebrations continued online, one image of matchwinner Kemar Roofe caught the eye of Jack Butland whose chilling response heaped praise on his teammate.

Rangers’ official Instagram account shared a picture of Kemar Roofe celebrating his winner v Real Betis accompanied by a flame emoji.

Jack Butland, clearly buzzing at his teammate’s contribution in Spain, responded with the opposite message in praise of Kemar’s ice cold finishing.

Kemar Roofe kept his composure to score the eventual winner for Rangers as the ball came in from a corner kick and Rabbi Matondo mishit a low Connor Goldson cross into the six yard box.

Showing his predatory instincts to roll the ball home, Jack Butland responded to the official Ibrox post above with an ice cold emoji in reference to the ice-cold blood in the striker’s veins.

Rangers players take to social media

Jack Butland wasn’t the only Rangers star taking to social media in celebration of the victory, which ensures the Gers avoid a Champions League drop-out in the Europa League Playoff.

Rangers captain James Tavernier took to the social media outlet to celebrate the victory in Spain and had Abdallah Sima praising the Ibrox skipper as “our captain”.

Also attracting interest from the likes of former Rangers stars Jordan Jones and Joe Aribo, the Ibrox skipper hailed the club’s “incredible support”.

Kemar Roofe himself shared an official Instagram post, the injury-plagued striker revelling in this special moment as the hero of the Rangers squad.

Also praising the Ibrox support, Kemar Roofe claimed “there’s just something about Thursday nights” as fans cross their fingers over the hitman’s fitness.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement is another who has been commenting on social media in the wake of the victory, with the Ibrox boss shifting the focus towards the weekend.
