Ian Durrant has delivered his verdict on Danny Rohl’s decision-making as Rangers lost to Celtic in the Scottish Cup.

The quarter-final clash went to a penalty shootout at Ibrox, but it was the Hoops that emerged victorious.

After missing a crucial spot kick, James Tavernier was left dejected, as it could potentially be his last opportunity to win a cup for the Light Blues.

Ian Durrant disappointed at Danny Rohl decision to bring off Mikey Moore

Durrant was not too pleased with Rohl’s call to bring off Mikey Moore in the Scottish Cup quarter-final against Celtic.

The Tottenham loanee started the game for Rangers on the left flank, in what was a 4-2-2-2 system.

With the score at 0-0 and despite Moore potentially offering a goal-scoring and creative threat, Rohl opted to take him out of the side.

In the 76th minute, the 18-year-old was withdrawn for Nedim Bajrami, a decision that did not seem to pay off.

Once that happened, Durrant believes the atmosphere inside the stadium changed and it also impacted the dynamics of the rest of the team.

He told Five Stars VIP: “For me personally, I was disappointed when he took Mikey Moore off.

“That changed the whole dynamics of the team when he took Mikey Moore off.

“I saw the crowd a go a little bit low and I just felt the atmosphere sort of changed.”

Will Moore be at Rangers next season?

Rangers have decided to back Rohl in the summer transfer window, and one of the players he would want in his side will be Moore.

However, he is currently on loan from Tottenham and would be returning to North London at the end of the season.

There, he will face a Catch-22 situation as he is not expected to be a regular starter if Spurs avoid relegation and remain a Premier League side.

In case they do get relegated, Moore may not want to play in England’s second tier and he could force a move to Ibrox.

As things stand, Tottenham want around £30m for Moore, but that valuation could go down if Rangers seriously negotiate as well as if the London club get relegated.

The option of signing him on loan for another season is also on the cards, as the Lilywhites would want him playing regularly as well.
