Connor Barron was the first member of the Rangers dressing room to face the cameras after the shock defeat to Hibs at Ibrox.
Rangers were stunned by a disciplined Hibs who got their noses in front courtesy of a glaring error from the much-criticised Jack Butland at Ibrox.
Martin Boyle then sprung the offside trap, with Dujon Sterling a culprit after Dave McKinnon’s praise by playing the Aussie international on-side.
Connor Barron played the full 90 minutes of the clash at Ibrox and admits that he himself is struggling to put his finger on what precisely went wrong.

Connor Barron dumbfounded by Rangers’ second half display v Hibs
Rangers created a number of opportunities in the first half against Hibs which were by and large spurned by under pressure striker Cyriel Dessers.
But in the second period, Rangers put in an abysmal display, barely managing to muster a clear-cut opportunity for any of the team’s forwards.
Asked what went wrong in the second period, Connor Barron admits he’s at a loss for words: “I don’t know. There wasn’t a change on the pitch and that’s down to us as players.
”We need to hold our hands up and we all know it’s not acceptable but we need to go and change it on Thursday.”
Rangers can ‘confident’ v Athletic despite Hibs shocker
Rangers’ attentions will now turn to the Europa League visit of Athletic Bilbao on Thursday evening.
Rangers have managed to reach the Europa League quarter finals despite an abysmal run of form domestically.
This is technical Rangers’ worst ever performing team at Ibrox, with the defeat to Hibs a record-setting fifth straight defeat at home.
Rangers record-breaking five game run at Ibrox
Rangers 1 – 2 Queen’s Park
Rangers 0 – 2 St Mirren
Rangers 1 – 2 Motherwell
Rangers 0 – 2 Fenerbahce
Rangers 0 – 2 Hibs
Connor Barron claims that it’s hard to look forward to Thursday evening as things stand but admits that Rangers have earned the right to be ‘confident’ heading into the game.
“Right now it’s hard to look at (how good the team has been in Europe),” Barron said.
“It’s hard to look at that right now but as I say when we start to look towards Thursday next week we’ll be confident going into it.
”But we need to start doing it on a Saturday and a Sunday because that’s our bread and butter.
”We need a reaction. We need a reaction from now until the end of the season, not just on Thursday.”
