Rangers are preparing to welcome Borussia Dortmund to Glasgow in a sell-out Europa League clash at Ibrox Stadium – in the middle of a yellow weather warning and predictions of snow in Scotland.
The Rangers ticket website is showing that there are no briefs available for the match with the Bundesliga giants as the Gers look to build on a famous 4-2 win in Germany last week.
The best chance they’ve got to do this is with 50,000 bears roaring them on from the Ibrox stands as Rangers look to make history against one of European football’s powerhouses.
But they may have to do so in some pretty wild conditions amid government warnings regarding snow blowing into sunny Glasgow.
Temperatures are expected to plummet across the country with heavy rain on Wednesday evening before snow showers arrive from the Atlantic, with up to 10cm of snow to build up even at low levels.
On higher ground, this could reach up to 30cm with the showers accompanied by strong winds of up to 60mph [Herald].
Yellow weather warning ahead of Rangers v Dortmund
This is a warning anyone heading to the sell-out clash at Ibrox Stadium should take into consideration and prepare for suitably.
Glasgow is set to be one of the areas worst affected and Borussia Dortmund will be blowing into Scotland on a gale hoping to overturn that two-goal deficit.

Star man Erling Braut Haaland might be ruled out for the Germans but they still have plenty of star quality in what promises to be an iconic night at the famous ground.
Just remember to don the right footwear and clothing with a yellow warning in effect in the area and potentially strong wind, snow and rain coming our way over the next 24 hours.
Borussia Dortmund are a wounded animal after the defeat to Rangers in Germany and roared back with a six-goal hammering in the Bundesliga over the weekend.
