Rangers fans are split after Steven Gerrard named his lineup for tonight’s Premiership clash against Hibernian at Ibrox.

It’s a must-win fixture for the Gers in Govan after a disappointing start to 2020.

Momentum has been lost in the title race after dropped points against both Hearts and Aberdeen and any further slip-ups in the near future could spell an end to hopes of winning the league.

There was a big injury boost heading into the game. While Filip Helander is still a month away from a return and Ryan Jack is nursing a calf problem, James Tavernier is fully fit again after recovering from his appendix procedure [Rangers FC Twitter].

The skipper was always going to come back into the fold when available, and he’s one of three changes to the side who were held to a 0-0 draw by the Dons on Saturday.

Tavernier replacing Matt Polster is one of two alterations to the back four, with George Edmundson also coming into the XI for only his second league start, replacing Nikola Katic.

At the top end of the pitch, Ianis Hagi comes in for his first start, while Joe Aribo moves into a deeper role and Glen Kamara drops to the bench.

Greg Stewart comes in as a substitute, as does Jordan Jones, with Sheyi Ojo nowhere to be seen.

Will this squad be strong enough for the Gers to get back to winning ways this evening?
