Rangers star Alfredo Morelos wasn’t even named on the bench as 10-man Colombia stumbled to a 0-0 draw with Venezuela in the Copa America.
El Bufalo is yet to make an appearance at the tournament and once again found himself on the sidelines as Los Cafeteros made it four points from six at the beginning of the competition.
Substitute Luis Diaz saw red in injury time as both sides played out a stalemate in the Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico in Goiânia, Brazil.
Brazil won 4-0 in the other game in the group to put them top of the pile, with goals coming from Alex Sandro, Neymar, Everton Ribeiro and Richarlison.
Up next for Colombia is a clash with the Peruvians in the early hours of Monday 21st June UK time with kickoff scheduled for 0100 hours.
Morelos, 24, came into the tournament off the back of a positive Covid-19 test which seen him miss World Cup Qualifiers against Peru and Argentina ahead of the tournament.
However, the Rangers star still earned a spot in the country’s squad but is yet to feature with Colombia winning their opening match against Ecuador 1-0 at the beginning of the week.
Morelos did take to Twitter to break his silence following the positive test as he shared an image of himself with fellow forward Miguel Borja.
Alfredo Morelos will now be hoping to break into the Colombia side ahead of the Peru match and fans can catch the Copa America live on BBC Sport.
Even getting into a competitive squad was an achievement for Alfie, who pipped a £71m star and his idol for a place at the tournament.
